Lord Thurso wrote the sleeve notes for this CD, here’s what he had to say:

Brandon McPhee is well known to many as one of the leading accordion players in Scotland. He has long been acknowledged as a virtuoso of what is one of the most difficult instruments to master and plays regularly at high profile events showcasing this magic instrument so iconic of Scots Country music. He has played regularly for the King at the Castle of Mey and composed a coronation tune which he presented to the King in 2023.  Less well known is Brandon’s mastery of the guitar and many other instruments as well as his powerful vocal range honed through rigorous coaching over many years. This exciting    album demonstrates the full range of Brandon’s talent ranging from Scottish folk songs to American Country and Western with touches of blue grass and even gospel.  It is a truly diverse range of music which surprises with its range and quality.  This is an album you will want to listen to again and again.  One which you can dip into or listen to straight through. Every track is a gem in its own right; and taken together it is an album that will live long on your play list.                                                                            The RT Hon. The Viscount Thurso  (Lord John Thurso)
